  2.           IMPROVE YOUR WRITING

  4.                PC-Style  is a program designed to help you write  more
  5.           effectively.   It even pushes you to put more "pizzazz" into
  6.           your  sentence  structure.    PC-Style does all of  this  by
  7.           carefully looking at what you have written.   Then you get a
  8.           report  that  you  can use to analyze the  strong  and  weak
  9.           points in your text.

  11.                It's  all  based  on the concept  of  readable  writing
  12.           (i.e.,   the factors that determine whether or not something
  13.           will be easy to read).   Basically, PC-Style helps you study
  14.           the  words  you  have  used  and how  you  have  used  them.

  16.                The  keys  to readable writing are  shorter  sentences,
  17.           action  verbs,   and the use of personal  pronouns.    Using
  18.           PC-Style will help you understand the dynamics of what makes
  19.           one  document more readable than another.   However,  please
  20.           note that PC-Style is only a tool,  NOT a course in readable
  21.           writing.   A reference list of books on the subject has been
  22.           included for your convenience.
